Recycle your jeans and get money!

Gap, the emporium for the best-fitting jeans I've ever worn, just announced the Recycle Your Blues campaign. The rules from gap.com are as follows:

Bring us any of your old denim and get 30% OFF men’s and women’s 1969 jeans. Make that 35% OFF when you use your Gap, Banana Republic, or Old Navy card. Now through October 20.

*Applies to regularly priced merchandise. Discount taken at register. See store for details.

In celebration of this cause, Ecouterre and Inhabitat joined forces with Gap 1969 Stream to create their own recycling challenge.

If you tore the back pockets off an old pair of jeans and made into a handbag, which I had done when I was a teenager, then they want to hear from you!

Snap photos of your own trendy creations from dingy denim to eco-fashion, then send them to:

This contest also ends on October 20, and a $200 Gap gift card could be yours! Check it out!
